The “road trip” is a bottomless topic that has inspired Jack Kerouac, Hunter S. Thompson and many other artistic expressions. There are many ideas that are connected to being on the road. Freedom, autonomy, being impulsive. You can pull over whenever you want, drive south, west, north and east. «In my work I almost collaborate with my car, and sharing this autonomy with the car is a really inspiring event for me.»

GK—1:1 Pt 3 Slot #3 — Ragnhild Nes
Ragnhild Nes (b. 1993) is a visual artist from Oslo, Norway, working primarily with the medium of painting. The usage of colour in relation to form and shape, creates her own universe with abstract motives. Similarly, to words, her painting practice involves superimposed images that float on each other without convergence, they are a way of understanding the world in the given time and space she creates. In 2021/2022 she did two longer residencies in Lisbon, Portugal, at Duplex Air and PADA Studios and was part of a group exhibition at Galeria PADA, Portugal. Her residencies led to a series of works that was exhibited at Galleri Hos Arne, Oslo, Norway. Nes had her first international solo exhibition at SARP Gallery, Italy (2022). Nes has exhibited at Nobel Peace Center and Kösk. For 1:1 Studio Works she presented a series of paintings and sculptural objects that have been created while she has stayed in Bergen, to go more in depth of the city and landscape 'Why is the silence blue?'
GK—1:1 Pt 3 Slot #4—Janne Kruse
Janne Kruse (b. 1979, Denmark) lives and works in Oslo. She is a visual artist who works with a variety of expressions and media as well as collaborative constellations. Her work often examines spatial and linguistic potentials in the meeting between the human body and the external world and deals with time-related investigations and the fragmented nature of memory. Parallel to her individual work she is part of the Norwegian artist collective Verdensteatret that creates stage based audio-visual performances and installations. Janne Kruse is a graduate from Oslo National Academy of the Arts and Central Academy of Fine Art in Beijing. For «1:1 Studio Works» Kruse presented ‘A quarter to midnight will be alright’, an honest attempt to explore the multitudes of time, cause and effect that unfolds in a different language to that of science, mathematics, and physics, perhaps a feeble attempt to insist upon art as a fourth language similar to a fourth dimension, a language unknown but nevertheless here. For “1:1 Studio Works”, Plur presented “Personae”, a study of fashion's relationship to the portrait, based on how clothes, jewellery and symbolic objects have been used as a tool throughout the history of portraiture painting, to reveal information on the person being portrayed, social status and family background.
